19//05 I have a very very good news yesterday. As you know I come back since 24th of April. After that I looked for a job. I left my resume and my profile on job website. I'd applied some company since I was in Norway. Some of those company contact me by call my home phone in Thailand. Mom note those down for me, but they are not interested one. When I got home I update my resume again. It's work in not week...many big company contacted me and invited me for test and interview. At first I was very worry that I couldn't get a good job because I graduated for 1 year but I have no experience in computer field at all. I was very lucky I think. First interview was for Etihad Airway....this one is not thing about computer skill. I had applied online for long time ago. They contacted me via email, invited for an interview at Intercontinental Hotel Thailand on Monday 8th May. It was my big day....all girl are very neat look perfect not like me. lol Then I realise that Stewardess is not my field even I love language, love to make people happy, love to meet and greet new people and of course LOVE TRAVEL. Second interview was on Wed 10th May for Lipper, a Reuters company. I was applied for Global Tester (Software Tester). They give me an exam and I have to answer those in English. Then interview...If I passed the first interview, the second interview will be with big boss in Denver, USA. Third interview was on Thu 11th May for Microsoft Thailand. This one took me by surprise. MS!!! it's a huge company and I didn't apply for it. I don't even know that they have avaliable position. The project manager called me. He said he found my resume on Job website. He asked if i'm interested for an interview (Software Tester). I definitely say yes :) hehehe. First round interview was good. Seem like Project Manager likes me. hehehe I was not nervous at all. He talk to me about everything like....asked what I had done for 1 year, what did I do when I was a student....not all about technical like I thought. :) That's make me relax not too stress. I know you people can judge people's attitude from normal chat easily. After interview with PM (Project Manager)...I have to feeling that I passed the first round with him. But it not guaranty maybe I just take my own side. He looking for HR on that day, but HR was not in the office. He said he will arrange an appoinment for me. Next week....Forth interview was on 17th May for Thai Beverage. Thai Beverage is a big company in Thailand too. Their product are Chang Beer, SangSom Thai whisky, MaeKong Thai whisky...most alcohol drink!!! Same as Microsoft, they found my resume and invited my for interview. This one SAP position. I really have no idea what SAP is. hehehe I do a little research on internet 1 night before I had interview. Learn big view of SAP. It also good interview not panic at all. (now I know the trick....maybe only my trick. Do not expect to much just do your best, do not stress, stop the idea that "I have to get this job" then you will do it well) Thus 18th was the second round interview with MS (Microsoft). This round with HR...HR for asia pasific!!! He's very very tuff. Asked me many hard and strange question like "What we will get from you if we offer you a job?" hmmmm....that question make me numb for seconds. The interview took almost 1 hour. Around 7 pm on the same date I got a call from MS HR...He said....after he consider my profile and had an interview with me, MS ready to offer me a job!!! WOW!!! I'm really really happy...he told me about my benefit that MS will give their employee. It's soooo great. Then he talk about contract, MS have only temporary position. 1 year contract...HR said the contract will being resign or not it's up to my own performance. That's fair enough. No guarantied bonus....also up to my performance. But I really don't care that much about salary or any benefit. It's my first job and I got a really good job in big company. That's what I really care. Then after 2-3 years I will have good looking resume. hehehe In order if WE (me and Steffen) want to work and live aboard...not Thailand not Norway. I will sign a contract on Monday. Then I planned to visit my sister and my brother-in-law in Phuket. Have a good vacation before work :) happy happy. After I got a good news. I jumped around smile like crazy. I ran upstair told my dad, called Steffen, called friends (They all thought it was a joke because MS never hire no experience people) and sent SMS to mom and dad in Austbø. They are all happy for me. ------------------------------ The next night I went to Flower Market (Pak-Klong-Talad) bought fresh and cheap flower.
Walk through Khao San then caught a taxi to Flower Market. The market is located on the foot of Memorial Bridge (Sapan Puud).
Now walk across the street. In front of Suan Ku Labb School, there is a rose market. Many rose stall along the street and it damn cheap.
I bought those for the next day. I will present Bharma tomorrow. hehehe Thank you him for a good job that I got :) On the way home I found a bug stall. So I bought a bag of bamboo worm. hehehe TO EAT. Yeah, we can eat it like snacks. Eating bugs has always beed popular in Thailand - especially in Isaan area (North-East of Thailand). The bamboo warm is the only bug that I dare to eat....Oh...and small grasshopper too. They fried those bugs. The rest like houseshoe crab(Maing-daa) - which look like a huge giant cockroach.
