16//01//07 Hmm...good day to start write memo back to Christmas EVE. Yeah...I understand it was like a month ago, but we don't have time to update pictures and story. Steffen visit me in Bangkok, Thailand for 3 month. Started from late afternoon of 23 December, 2005. I picked him up at Suwannabumi airport. Not much time left on first day in Bangkok, so we just stay home until late evening, then had Pizza with my family for dinner. PIZZA!!! I know that it very simple food which he can get everywhere in the world. He told me not to scare him since first meal he's in Thailand. So pizza is the best choice that time. The next day 24 December, Christmas Eve!! We went to MBK one of the well-known shopping mall in Bangkok. Just for walk around and see Bangkok. We took Sky Train (BTS) to MBK (from On-Nut to Siam and changed train line to Silom line and heading to National Stadium ). Steffen got new pair of flip-flop, he said Bangkok is too warm to walk with shoes+socks on. Yeah...even he's not used to walk outside with flip-flop but he really need one.
At that night, we went to Baiyoke 2 for dinner at Sky restaurent. It cost us 470 per person for buffet (this cost for Thai people and foreigner who come with Thai people). Baiyoke is the highest building in Thailand. We had dinner on 78 floor. Food are mix, they have turkey, Japanese shusi, Pad Thai, salad, soup, river prawn, shells etc. Free soda, but if you want to have your dinner with wine or beer it exclude that price. After dinner, we went to 88 floor which is the roof top. They have moving deck for view 360 degrees of Bangkok's night.
Tuk-tuk is a 3 wheels open-air vehical which run around inner Bangkok. It also one of Bangkok symbol.
That night, after we back from dinner. It's time to open christmas presents. He got only 2 boxes for this year :( sorry for him. I understand that it will not fun and warm like at home, family sitting around the table and open one box at the time and switch to another person....very warm feeling, lot of food and also KIDS. Actually he got one from his uncle which he already open before he left to Thailand. He could guess what's inside, and he was correct :) So bring one to Thailand and I got one box for him. Good to have him on Chirstmas with me in Thailand!!!
